3rd Presidential Debate 2008
The 3rd and final Presidential debate for 2008 between Senator John McCain and Senator Barack Obama took place on October 16, 2008. With McCain behind in most of the 2008 Election Polls, he was in greater need for a victory. Some would say not only did McCain need to win, he needed Obama to lose. I think McCain did a great job attacking Obama’s tax plan with the whole “Joe the Plummer” topic. The topic even ended with Obama saying that he would raise taxes on the over $250,000 incomes and how he would raise the taxes on bigger businesses to lower the taxes for 95% of the people. The final remarks for the topic were by McCain asked why would you raise taxes for anybody right now. I agree because US businesses already have way too high of taxes compared to other countries including France.
Although CNN posted stories that according to the polls, Barack Obama was the winner of this debate; I think the win goes to McCain and that in the next couple weeks to come, the polls will get even closer for this election. If you missed the debate, then check it out for yourself. Let me know what you think!
